Mühltal, Germany, 01/07/2024: With its new Delite5 and Homage5 e-bikes, Riese & Müller, the premium manufacturer of e-bikes and cargo bikes, is presenting the totally redesigned successors to its renowned e-bikes with Control Technology.
These full-suspension bikes represent the technological state of the art of the model range, with this latest generation delivering a total innovation: thanks to their innovative frame concept, the Delite5 and Homage5 are for the first time multi-drive-compatible – meaning that the same frame can be equipped with different drive systems and batteries.
The real highlight at the launch of the two models is the Pinion E-Drive System, which perfectly combines gears and motor in a single unit. The Delite5 and Homage5 are the first Riese & Müller e-bikes to be fitted with a Pinion drive. Other systems will follow.

For years, the Delite has been synonymous with full-suspension e-biking, delivering high standards of performance, comfort and quality. Now, the geometry of the Delite5 has been extensively redesigned to make its kinematics more progressive, its riding behaviour more direct and the bike generally more agile. The result is a dynamic yet safe riding experience on all terrains.

The Homage5. High-class low-step-through.
A new level of comfort, safety and technology – the distinctive, full-suspension and perfectly equipped low-step-through bike embodies this like barely any other bike: e-biking now equates to comfortable, worry-free riding, thanks to its low step-through and lowerable seatpost. But if you like things even more comfortable, opt for the Comfort kit, with its curved handlebars and wider saddle.

The Pinion E-Drive System.
The innovative combination of drive and gears is a perfect fit for Riese & Müller’s premium full-suspension models. In the Pinion e-drive system, the gears and motor form a single unit in the area of the crank bearing – the so-called MGU (Motor Gearbox Unit). The rear wheel hub, conventionally occupied by the gears, remains free. This shifts the centre of gravity to the centre of the bike, delivering balanced riding dynamics. Moreover, the system is protected from environmental influences in a fully sealed housing and, in conjunction with a carbon frame, is very reliable and low-maintenance.
The motor of the Pinion MGU delivers a torque of 85 Nm, while the 12-speed gears are operated by a shift lever. It also provides a gear ratio of 600%. Alongside its innovative Smart.Shift technology functions, fully automatic gear shifting will also be possible in future.
The power needed for the motor is supplied by the removable 800 Wh battery integrated in the down tube. Standard equipment includes a remote display with a 1.3-inch colour display. A 3.5-inch comfort display is optionally available, as is a multi-adapter with an SP Connect Plus interface for your smartphone.
Perfectly equipped.
The design of this new generation unites the Delite5 and Homage5 in a single family, but both e-bikes are also equipped with high-end technology. Standard equipment includes the high-quality FOX suspension package with 120 mm travel on the FOX AWL front suspension fork, and 45 mm on the FOX Float Rhythm shock absorber, plus the X-Fusion dropper post for maximum comfort when stopping at traffic lights and setting off. The GX option with knobbly tires and flat pedals provides optimum grip off-road.
Premium equipment also includes the TRP 4-piston brake system, M99 Mini Pro lighting with main beam and the Supernova TL3 Pro rear light with brake light.
An RX Chip for extensive digital features, such as riding statistics and GPS tracking, is also fitted as standard, transforming the Delite5 and Homage5 into connected e-bikes. For the first time, the ConnectCare Free service offers comprehensive insurance cover with recovery service in the event of your bike being stolen for 1 year from the date of purchase (availability is dependent on your country of use. Both the Delite5 and Homage5 will also be available as S-Pedelecs with assistance up to 45 km/h.
Riese & Müller is also systematically further developing its sustainability approach with the Delite5 and Homage5. Both frames are produced in Portugal and are made of 34% (Homage5) and 38% (Delite5) ASI-certified recycled aluminium.
