The new weather protection for the Multicharger and Multitinker.

Mühltal, Germany, 01/07/2024: Riese & Müller, the premium manufacturer of e-bikes and cargo bikes, is presenting an innovative, sustainably designed equipment option for all-year use of its popular longtail e-bikes with its new weather protection for the Multicharger and Multitinker. The weather protection keeps passengers and luggage dry and protected from the wind – for comfortable, climate-friendly mobility in everyday family life and more.

The protection top equipment option consists of a cover that is securely bolted to the outside struts of the Multicharger or Multitinker safety bar. The cover can be fully folded forward to make it easier to get on and off the bike. Tinted viewing windows incorporating sun protection factor 50 enable passengers to view their surroundings, and the side walls can be rolled up in warmer weather. The rear wall can be fully rolled up and attached to the sturdy aluminium frame using a hook-and-loop strip. When no passengers are being carried, the cover lies flat on the safety bar and is ideal for transporting smaller items. The cover has a height of 80 cm at the front seat position, and 75 cm at the rear.

Multicharger2 Mixte with weather protection.

In its development of the weather protection, Riese & Müller focussed on the principles of circular design and deliberately dispensed with fibreglass rods and PVC film material. All components of the weather protection can be easily repaired, replaced or recycled.

The protection top is compatible with all Multicharger2 and Multitinker models with a safety bar kit fitted. It can also be retrofitted to Multicharger models (with the exception of HS).
