Riese & Müller extends digital features for e-bikes with Bosch smart system

Mühltal, Germany, 13/11/2024: With the latest update to the RX Connect app, Riese & Müller has started offering additional digital features for e-bikes with the Bosch smart system. This makes Riese & Müller one of the first bike manufacturers to use the digital connection to Bosch’s software interface to harness the smart system’s full potential.

“We are excited to be one of the first manufacturers to integrate the new features into our own app and add even more digital features to our e-bikes,” says Rainer De Mey, Chief Digital Officer at Riese & Müller. “Our aim is to be the market leader in e-bike connectivity and offer our customers genuine added value through our innovative features.” 

 

App update: live riding data and statistics

The RX Connect app is the mobile cockpit for Riese & Müller e-bikes. With the update to version 2.2, riders of Bosch e-bikes with smart system can now also connect their bike to their smartphone via Bluetooth. This will provide extensive live riding data and statistics, for example:

  • Current speed
  • Battery charge level
  • Chosen level of assistance
  • Journey time
  • Current pedal power
  • Distance travelled
  • CO2 saved
  • Performance average
  • Average speed
  • Average cadence
  • Distribution of used assistance modes

 

The RX Connect app update to version 2.2 also offers other improvements, including support for landscape orientation, improved offline functionality and more stable use in areas with poor signal.

System prerequisites: e-bike display software 10.10.0, control unit software 10.1.0, smartphone software: iOS 13 or higher, Android 10.0 or higher.

RX Connect: all digital services in one place

RX Connect is the digital add-on for Riese & Müller e-bikes. With the integrated RX Chip and the right RX Service, your e-bike is fully covered. When a service is activated, the RX Connect app shows riding data, statistics and the location of the bike via GPS. It also offers a digital motion alarm and automatically records trips. Depending on the booked RX Service, customers can also benefit from anti-theft protection with recovery service and fully comprehensive insurance cover.*
