Non-discriminatory wages and salaries: Riese & Müller certified as a Fair Pay Leader
07.03.2025
Mühltal, 07/03/2025: Riese & Müller has been certified as Fair Pay Leader in the course of an independent remuneration analysis. Certification by the Fair Pay Innovation Lab confirms that women and men receive non-discriminatory remuneration at Riese & Müller, and that the company meets the requirements of the EU Pay Transparency Act. Riese & Müller is the first family-owned company to receive this award.
“The impressive results confirm that we have achieved fair and just remuneration for all employees. Certification as a Fair Pay Leader is a major success for us and demonstrates that our long-term equal pay measures are having a lasting effect. At the same time, we are doing everything we can to maintain the income balance we have achieved,” says Dr. Sandra Wolf, CEO of Riese & Müller.
“Universal Fair Pay Check certification is a significant step forward for Riese & Müller to ensure fair and just pay structures,” explains Henrike von Platen, CEO and founder of the Fair Pay Innovation Lab (FPI). “The fact that they have achieved the highest level, as a Fair Pay Leader, shows their outstanding commitment to equality and transparency in the workplace.”
Analysis confirms pay equality
An analysis of wages and salaries paid at Riese & Müller was undertaken by the Fair Pay Innovation Lab and supervised by the Mercer hkp Group as an independent consultancy. The results show an unadjusted gender pay gap of 0.6% in favour of women and a gender pay gap of 0.9% in favour of men, adjusted for factors, such as professional experience and job evaluation – extremely low figures that confirm basic wage equality amongst male and female employees. This means that Riese & Müller sits within a very narrow range compared to national and international gender pay gap averages.
As a socially responsible company, Riese & Müller is committed to conducting regular wage and salary analysis and to taking measures to further optimise equal pay. Equal Pay Day offers an opportunity to present the results in a transparent manner and to continue to move forward with the issue of wage fairness.
