At the award ceremony in Friedrichshafen last night, the manufacturer of premium E-Bikes from Darmstadt received the Eurobike Award for the Delite GT touring model. The E-Bike was recognised in the E-Bikes & Pedelecs category.

The Eurobike Award is one of the highest honours a company can receive in the bike industry. It is only awarded to particularly cutting-edge innovations and new products, thus sending a clear message to dealers and consumers. The competition is organised by Messe Friedrichshafen and held in cooperation with the Deutscher Designer Club (German Designer Club, DDC). This year, the jury’s decision was simplified for the first time by a digital first round, where an extended jury of 12 made an initial selection from the award applications. As part of this process, 270 new products were short-listed.

The new Delite GT touring is the premium SUV among Riese & Müller E-Bikes. A Shimano 11-speed derailleur gear provides the E-Bike’s drive with an extremely high degree of efficiency. The combination of 27.5” wheels with broad tires and Control Technology offers optimal shock absorption, safe road adhesion and outstanding balance, even at high speeds. The term Control Technology refers to all full-suspension Riese & Müller E-Bikes from the 2017 model year. The active rear swing arm, optimised front wheel suspension and co-sprung luggage carrier are its core. A highly functional design and intelligent detailed solutions such as the cable routing concealed in the frame give the Delite its unmistakable nature. By using two fully integrated batteries with the Bosch DualBattery system, the battery capacity is doubled to 1,000 Wh and puts Riese & Müller at the top of its class in terms of range.
