Statutory warranty
You are entitled to a statutory warranty covering all bikes, depending on their condition:
- two years from the date of delivery for new bikes
- two years from the date of delivery for immediately available new or ‘as new’ bikes from our online shop or factory sales outlet (ridden less than 10 km)
- one year from the date of delivery for used or demonstration bikes from our online shop or factory sales outlet (ridden more than 10 km)
Please direct all warranty claims to the dealer if your bike was purchased from them. With bikes purchased from our online shop or factory sales outlet, the dealer you selected at the time of purchase will handle any warranty claims.
Premium guarantee
In addition to their statutory liability, Riese & Müller also offers
- a five-year guarantee covering breakage of the frame and rear swing arm.
- a two-year guarantee covering the bike battery: it should have a minimum capacity of 60% after two years or 500 charging cycles.
The Premium guarantee only applies to first-time private customers.
To register for the Premium guarantee:
1. Register here to activate your Riese & Müller My Bike account. This is where you can manage all your bike details, personal information and digital services.
2. When you take delivery of your bike, add it to your account to automatically register it for the Premium guarantee.
Validity conditions
- You are the first owner of the bike.
- You have registered your bike within four weeks of taking delivery.
- You have had all the required inspections carried out by your dealer and have completed the inspection certificate in full.
We will replace faulty parts. We will charge labour and delivery costs for bikes outside of the two-year standard guarantee period.
Exclusions:
Claims for damages or loss of use, wear, neglect, falls, overloading, improper assembly, modifications, competitive use, jumping or other stresses. Any guarantee service does not extend the original guarantee period.
